Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution: $2075 raised

Catalyzing Impact organized our networks to support LWV Milwaukee County in their efforts to help voters register electronically or by mail before the 2018 midterm elections.

Wisconsin Voices  

About the Organization:

Wisconsin Voices has two innovative projects designed to coordinate and expand voter registration. The “Engage Wisconsin” project coordinates data-driven voter registration and turns out in collaboration with grassroots organizations around the state.  The “Wisconsin Voter App” project is an exciting voter registration tool that Wisconsin Voices, in partnership with PF Data, developed and launched in June 2018.  The Wisconsin Voter App allows community-based organizations to address individual photo ID assistance needs and electronically register eligible voters in Wisconsin. To learn more about this organization, visit their website. 

Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution – $4250 raised

The money raised went directly to purchase IPads loaded with internet capability for registering voters.  These IPads were distributed to community based organizations that registered voters and contributed to the positive midterm outcomes in Wisconsin!

The League of Women Voters – Lancaster Chapter

Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution: $2,035 raised

Catalyzing Impact targeted District 11 in Pennsylvania, a heavily Republican district, to catalyze the voter registration efforts of two dynamic organizations: Lancaster Stands Up and the League of Women Voters Lancaster County. The funds raised for these two organization had tremendous impact in 2018. Back in 2016, the Republican candidate won by 25.8% over the democratic challenger. But in 2018, the Republican incumbent won by only 6.8%! These organizations recruited over 350 volunteers who knocked on 46,688 doors and turned out unprecedented numbers on Election Day: over 112,000 voters in small towns, suburbs, and cities across the district. Thanks to these efforts, there is a strong foundation for turning District 11 blue in 2020. The work continues!


Lancaster StandsUp

About the Organization:

Lancaster Stands Up was founded on the premise that it’s up to all of us to take back our democracy for We the People. This grassroots organization galvanized hundreds of volunteers to knock on thousands of doors and make thousands of phone calls prior to 2018 midterm elections. Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution: $3,435 raised

Lancaster Stands Up recruited over 350 volunteers who knocked on 46,688 doors and turned out unprecedented numbers on Election Day 2018: over 112,000 voters in small towns, suburbs, and cities across the district, reducing the Republican gap from 25.8% down to 6.8% and positioning PA District 11 to turn blue in 2020!.This organization is now catalyzing its impact by joining forces with other dynamic organizations in Pennsylvania giving rise to Pennsylvania Stands Uphttps://pastandsup.org/  with the mission of mobilizing under-represented communities to vote in 2020.

OneVirginia2021 Foundation

About the Organization:

OneVirginia2021 is a leader in advocating for fair, non-partisan electoral redistricting in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The organization’s goal is to establish an impartial, independent commission, using non-partisan, objective criteria, to oversee the redistricting process in Virginia. To achieve its goal, OneVirginia2021 worked to obtain 1000 petition signatures in each of the 100 House of Delegates by the end of 2018 to persuade state legislators to create an independent redistricting commission.  Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution:  $3200 raised

Catalyzing Impact raised funds to support the 1000 signatures petition drive. Funds raised covered the cost of space, materials, mileage, and supplies for events, documentary screenings, and volunteer opportunities in two Virginia districts with the goal of collecting petition signatures and growing support for nonpartisan redistricting.

The League of Women Voters – Fairfax Area Education Fund

About the Organization:

League of Women Voters (LWV) – Fairfax Area Education Fund has published Facts for Voters, A Directory of Public Officials and Government Offices since the 1970’s. These voter guides provide an overview of the electoral process and a guide to government services for county residents. They are widely distributed in public libraries, schools, and neighborhood centers throughout Fairfax County.  If you are interested in learning more about this organization, visit their website.

Catalyzing Impact’s Contribution: $4500 raised

The League of Women Voters aimed to increase citizen education and outreach to Fairfax County’s Latino, Korean and Vietnamese communities. Catalyzing Impact raised funds that enabled LWV-Fairfax to translate and disseminate electronic as well as print copies of the 2018 edition of Facts for Voters. into Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese. To view a copy of these guides, click here. LWV worked with Fairfax County Public Schools, Voice of Vietnamese Americans, and other community-based organizations to develop a distribution campaign for the translated Facts for Voters directory. The funding for this project covered the cost of translators, a social media campaign, website management, printing, distribution, and marketing.
